Rescue Me ID: 15-03-20-00219Bear (male)

Newfoundland    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bear is a Newfoundland that came to us with a full female Saint Bernard named Baby. The two have lived together all of their lives since they were puppies. They are owner surrenders due to a military family being deployed out of the country. These two are the sweetest Saint and Newfie you will ever find. They are house trained and love other animals. We believe Baby and Bear to 5-6 years old and are in great health. Baby is to be spayed before April and Bear is already neutered. In the best case scenario we would love someone to adopt these two together. It is not mandatory but that is our goal. An application that will adopt both ... (Read More)will take preference. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Our Saint Bernards are not aggressive or mean in any way, they can just knock down children easily. If you would like to visit Tucker, please contact St. Cloud's Rescue at www.stcloudsrescue.org or call 1-469-952-3332 or 1-972-679-5319. The first step in adopting from St. Cloud's Rescue is to complete an application. The application may be found OUR WEBSITE (not petfinder.com) at www.stcloudsrescue.org. Please click on the application process, complete and then email it or fax it to us at 1-469-952-3331. Once the application has been sent please call us to confirm that we have received it. St.Cloud's Rescue maintains the right to deny applications to anyone for any reason we see fit. St. Cloud Rescue is a non-profit 501-c-3 organization. St. Clouds Rescue requires new owners to purchase a one year supply of heartworm preventative from us, which is at cost. We require a home visit prior to all placements. There is a $400.00 donation fee. All dogs adopted through St Clouds Rescue must be indoor pets. St. Bernards cannot tolerate the extreme Texas weather conditions. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-24-00490Blanco (male)

Newfoundland Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Blanco showed up at my daughters property last summer. We was very skinny and terrified of riding in a car. We believe someone drove by and drop him off (country land). Our daughter loved him but there were already 3 dogs in her family (all rescued from the streets) and there was no way they could handle one more. My husband and I live in a small townhouse with no place for Blanco to run like it is evident he likes and desperately needs. It breaks my heart to see him leave because he is an amazing dog! Super intelligent, so loving and clearly anxious to please us and gorgeous on top! I wish we had a bigger place and mostly a place with a ... (Read More)large fenced yard for him to run freely and get his exercise. The times we've seen him run we can tell how much he needs that. He runs like a horse! He looks like he is galloping not running! He is a sharp retriver, he'll bring you back anything you throw, he is a natural. Something else we loves is getting in to the water. We have a large hot tub in our back patio and if we were not careful he would jump in any chance he got. That tipical of the Newfoundland breed, they are often used as part of a water rescue team. He is 10 months old, he eats like a horse, any dog food we've tried he loves. He is almost house broken, not a 100% he seems to be into marking his territory I guess because we have two older dogs at home (10 yr old full size Maltesse male and a 9.5 year old Maltipoo female. Our Maltipoo does play with Blanco, not as much as he would like to play with her but they do play some. Our older Maltesse has become a grouchy older dog that does not want to be bother unless is to come eat. We have two neighbor dogs that he frequents and loves to play with. Their yard is bigger and they are very nice dogs (male and female pits). They run and run in circles together! (Less)
