Rescue Me ID: 16-12-03-00096  (male)

Newfoundland Mix    Age: Young Adult

This black dog came to me the other day with big droopy eyes. I live on a busy street and took him in my garage, so that he would not hit on the street. This dog is very smart. He actually jumped up and hit the button for the garage door and came scratching to my front door! He has never once gone the bathroom in my garage!!! He can't wait to see me and wags his tail in anticipation. If he even hears my voice he barks. However, he does not bark at night or without a reason. I would love to keep him, but I have three jobs and already have a dog. I do not know exactly what his mix is either. The vet said that he looks like a newfie. ... (Read More)I think his body looks like a lab. He has silky black hair. He is actually very handsome. (Less)

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

~ NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS~ Prince Koda is an 18 month old brown Newfoundland who is sweet and adorable as can be! Koda had absolutely no manners when he arrived, he now walks nicely on a leash, doesn't counter surf, will heel and sit on command also. Koda is housebroken, but needs to be kept on a schedule or he will have an accident. He does have separation anxiety, he will stay alone by himself now for up to hour without being destructive. He would benefit from an adopter that is willing to continue to work with him on his anxiety, is a stay at home person or can take him to doggie day care. Koda will require not only an adopter ... (Read More)with current or previous Newfoundland experience but a fenced in yard also. Please do not ask us to deviate from this policy, applications that do not meet this requirement will not be accepted. Koda does well with all dogs, but tends to play rough with dogs smaller than 25 lbs, as he does not understand his size and no cats for this guy! Koda loves to go for walks, sit in his pool, gives hugs, cuddle, play with a ball, toys and loves to go for car rides. While he loves all children, he gets so excited when he sees them, he will jump on them, he will not be adopted to a home with children under the age of 8 years old for their safety and his. Koda has been neutered, is heartworm negative and current on his vaccines, including rabies and bordetella. When Koda was rescued, he had bilteral entropic eyes and a cherry eye, they have been corrected. He has been treated for worms multiple times, as he had a severe case when he arrived. He has been microchipped and started on monthly flea and heartworm prevention also. Koda's adoption donation is $400.00 All of our Royal's are spayed or neutered, brought current on all shots, including rabies and bordetella, heartworm tested, wormed, microchipped and receive a dental if needed. An application must be completed, submitted and approved prior to meeting any of our Royal Prince and Princesses. A completed application does not guarantee adoption approval If interested in adopting into your family, please download an adoption application at our web site http://www.royaltydogrescue.com Royalty Dogs are in foster homes, we are not a facility. Rescue Me ID: 16-06-08-00368Fifi or Fiona (female)

Newfoundland Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected,
 Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

Was once a great dog, but still could be with supervised training. Very smart, loving, and protective dog! She has a temperament to anything new due to fear. For the first two year's of her life she was subject to neglect in an apartment, only to fear the outside world on her short walks... Very hopeful dog that smiles and is extremely loyal. Must get her help or else she will have to be euthanized when given up to spca.
