LARGE LOVEABLE DOG, BUT MUST BE IN A KID-FREE HOME asap Sad to say, but we have to find a new home for our large, loveable dog. Name: Diesel Age: 2 %BD years old (Born in May of 2012) Breed: Mastiff/Newfoundland mix Weight: 140lbs * All vaccines and check-ups are up to date. To be as transparent as possible here is the story: Diesel has grown up around children and been loved his whole life, but as he has grown he has become intolerant and almost jealous of any and all children. He has recently shown physical aggression toward some which is very concerning. We have 2 kindergarten age boys who have friends over often, so obviously this is ... (Read More)not tolerable. He is very loyal and protective, just does not care for young children. Also: because he is so large, he has some chronic hip discomfort issues that are not surgically treatable as far as we have been recommended. We give him dog pain pills and an aspirin a couple times a day he which seems to do just fine with mobility when his pain is managed. We have his Newfoundland fur/hair is groomed 'professionally' 2 times a year. All-in-all we TRULY hate to see him go (as we are all very attached), but for the safety of our children and others who may come to our house'| he must go. Finding a loving home for him is a much better option than putting him down (which unfortunately would be the only option if we can't find a home for him). (Less)
